This project explores how sound functions as a tool of urban control through the lens of “noise colonialism.” Inspired by sound studies and ecological criticism, it imagines a future where power manifests through plant-like sonic devices that cleanse public space of unwanted noise. These organic- looking structures-part ritual object, part surveillance tool-represent a regime that enforces acoustic purity under the guise of environmental harmony. By blending 3D modelling and speculative design, the work visualises a world where natural aesthetics mask authoritarian control, and questions how sound, softness, and nature can serve systems of dominance.
